RC233 - Industrial Insulating Coating

RC #233 is a bright tintable white, 100% acrylic elastomeric coating blended with quality low thermal conducting pigments and resins and reinforced with Hy-Tech Insulating Ceramics. A waterborne, high build formula that apply 5 times thicker than regular coatings and designed to insulate and soundproof the coated surface. 

RC #233 expands and contracts with varying hot and cold temperatures and resists thermal shock, offers superior mildew resistance, ceramic insulation and soundproofing combined with excellent adhesion. Designed specifically as an insulating, sound deadening coating with typical temperature reduction of 20-40% depending on number of coats applied. 

PRODUCT USES: RC #233 is recommended for any surface where temperature reduction is required. Environmentally safe, for residential, commercial and industrial applications. SURFACE 

PREPARATION: Prepare surface by thoroughly cleaning to remove dirt, grease, loose and peeling paint, and other foreign materials, especially mold, mildew and algae. RC #233 is fortified with mildewcides and will resist mildew growth but will not kill existing mildew already on the surface. Prime non-ferrous surfaces with Barrier Coat # 85, Prime ferrous metal with Aqua-Prime #15. Add ceramics to the Aqua Prime for maximum heat reduction. Apply only to a sound, well-prepared surface. 

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Stir RC #233 well before using. Do not thin, use product as is. It is essential that the surface is clean and dry and free of all moisture. Apply 2-4 coats ( more applications, more heat reduction) Do not apply when temperatures are below 45ºF or when humidity is very high. Drying time, to touch 2 hours, to handle 12 hours but will vary depending on temperature, humidity and location. Apply using brush, roller or sprayer (airless sprayer with a minimum tip size of .028 all filters removed). Spread uniformly. Wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat. Clean up immediately after use, while still wet, with warm soapy water APPROXIMATE COVERAGE: 75-100 sq.ft./gal.
